Welcome to mercerislandtaxi.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using our private transportation services, website, or dispatch lines, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before booking a ride.

1. Service Offerings & Fleet Capacity

We provide 24/7 private transit and airport transfer services to, from, and within Mercer Island, WA, including regional hubs like SeaTac (SEA), Paine Field (PAE), and Boeing Field (BFI).

  • Service Models: We accommodate both immediate, on-demand instant rides (subject to driver availability) and guaranteed pre-booked reservations scheduled in advance.

  • Fleet Selection: Passengers may request specific vehicle classes during booking, including Executive Sedans, Spacious SUVs, Passenger Vans, XL Passenger Vans, and Luxury Limousines. We reserve the right to upgrade a vehicle class at no additional charge to ensure timely service.

2. Booking, Rates, & Flat-Rate Pricing

  • Upfront Quotes: All flat-rate pricing provided during online pre-booking or via phone dispatch is guaranteed for the specific route, date, and time requested.

  • Rate Integrity: Our flat-rate airport transfers include standard road tolls. Rates are fixed and are not subject to traffic delays, route changes due to construction, or rideshare-style surge pricing.

  • On-Demand / Instant Rides: Rates for immediate dispatch rides are quoted at the time of the request based on vehicle proximity and current destination.

3. Cancellations, No-Shows, & Modifications

We understand that travel plans change. To maintain fairness to our drivers, the following policy applies:

  • Pre-Booked Reservations: Cancellations or changes must be made at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled pickup time for a full refund or to avoid cancellation fees.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time may be subject to a partial or full charge of the quoted fare.

  • No-Show Policy: If a passenger fails to arrive at the designated pickup location within the designated grace period (15 minutes for residential/office pickups; 45 minutes for airport arrivals tracking commercial flights) without notifying dispatch, the ride will be marked as a no-show, and the full fare will be charged.

4. Flight Delays & Tracking

For all pre-booked airport arrivals, we track commercial flight statuses in real time using the flight number provided during booking.

  • If your flight is delayed, we automatically adjust your pickup time at no extra cost.

  • If a flight number changes, is canceled by the airline, or if you miss your connection, it is the passenger’s responsibility to contact our dispatch team immediately to update or reschedule the reservation.

5. Passenger Conduct & Vehicle Damage

  • Safety First: All passengers must wear seatbelts in compliance with Washington State law. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who displays aggressive, unsafe, or heavily intoxicated behavior toward our professional drivers.

  • Damage & Cleaning Fees: Passengers are liable for any physical damage or excessive mess left in the vehicle. A cleaning or sanitization fee (minimum $150, up to actual restoration costs) will be assessed for any biohazard incidents, fluid spills, or physical vandalism caused by passengers.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to ensure absolute punctuality, mercerislandtaxi.com is not liable for delays caused by extreme weather conditions, unprecedented highway closures, major accidents, acts of God, or unexpected mechanical failures beyond our control. We are not responsible for any consequential or indirect losses (such as missed flights or missed business meetings) resulting from such unavoidable delays.
